Me Laurence Acoca

Founder, Notary and Legal Advisor

Laurence Acoca is a notary and legal advisor in Montreal. She earned her Bachelor of Laws in 2001, was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2002, and then obtained her degree in notarial law with high distinction from the Université de Montréal. A member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec since 2006, she practises primarily in commercial real estate, advising investors, developers, lenders and businesses on acquisitions, sales, financing and refinancing, and development projects. She also practises in residential real estate, personal and family law, business law, and succession law. Clients particularly appreciate her patience, her availability, and her ability to explain complex files simply and clearly.

Samantha Nathan ranked first in her class and graduated with honors in paralegal studies from O’Sullivan College in Montreal, where she received the Fraser Milner Casgrain Award. She completed her Bachelor of Laws in 2017, obtained her Master’s degree in Notarial Law in 2019 and is certified in non-contentious proceedings. She joined Acoca Notaries as a paralegal, continued with the firm as an intern and has been practicing as a notary since May 2019 in real estate law, personal and family law and law of successions.
